We love this park. So much that we became members. It's a nice area to walk daily, multiple play structures for the kids. The zoo is a little one but the kids love to check it out each time.

Boo at the zoo was super weak. 2adults and 1 child was 11 dollars plus gate entry of 6 dollars. I kept seeing a cart of candy pull up to the limited amount of so called candy stations and ask if they needed more candy. The point is that they didn't need anymore because all the handed out 1piece per child or made them do a retarded craft like cut out coffee filter for a piece. I've gone to the Sacramento zoo and left with a good amount of candy. We left with 6, six, pieces of candy.....Fail

It was fun. My fiancee and I visited the Japanese gardens first then went to the zoo they have there. The zoo is incredibly small but the animals are pretty cool. That being said it's rather depressing. There is a fossa there that has literally gone insane. All it does is pace back and forth among the fence. It has a 1000 yard stare like you would see on a soldier with shell shock. Seeing this ruined our trip. It was just sad.

Rented the Japanese Tea Garden for a funeral service. Beautiful setting. Park staff were very helpful with the planning at their office. Maintenance staff set up chairs and checked on us a few times to make sure everhthing was good. We also rented the picnic shelter next to the Tea Garden for food and refreshments. There are numerous tables and electricity available along with bbq grills and sinks. Prices were very fair as well.

I went to micke grove Japanese garden for a wedding and it was beautiful. The park was life one large loop so as you drove you see picnic area the playground, the garden, the zoo etc. It was a nice setup right off the freeway. About a 40 minute drive from Sacramento. Keep in mind you do need to pay for entry.
